Alabama Bar Exam Format

Alabama has formally adopted the Uniform Bar Exam ("UBE"). The Alabama Bar Exam is administered over two days each February and July.  On the first day, the Multistate Essay Examination (MEE) and the Multistate Performance Test (MPT) are administered.  On the second day of the Alabama Bar Exam, the Multistate Bar Examination is administered.  AmeriBar's Alabama Bar Exam Course provides you with comprehensive materials to help you pass the Alabama Bar Exam. 

Alabama Bar Exam Scoring

The scores for the MBE and written exam are added to determine your final score on the Alabama Bar Exam.  An applicant must achieve a passing score of at least 260 (an average of 130 on each section). 

MPRE  -  WE NOW PROVIDE A COMPREHENSIVE MPRE COURSE!

In addition to passing the Alabama Bar Exam, you must attain a scaled score of at least 75 on the MPRE.  Alabama accepts MPRE scores if taken not more than 12 months prior to, or 20 months following, the Alabama Bar Exam.

The Alabama Bar Exam contains a Multistate Performance Test component.

Alabama Bar Exam MBE Reciprocity

Applicants sitting for the Alabama Bar Exam may transfer a previous MBE score from another jurisdiction if a scaled score of 140 or higher was achieved within 20 months, and if admitted to jurisdiction where exam was taken.
